Million Dollar Guy remains Romania’s most in-demand film, holding first place with an FDI of 17.9 while Teambuilding 2 stays second at 12.9 and a third local comedy, Vacanță all inclusive, climbs into third. The SEATmio Film Demand Index (FDI) is a film's share, in percent, of all tickets SEATmio tracks in Romania: tickets for the last 7 days of screenings plus advance tickets for screenings still to come. All ticket counts are rounded SEATmio estimates.
Cristian Ilișuan’s Million Dollar Guy, from the director of The Neighbor and Mirciulica, sold Unlock tickets in the last 7 days and has Unlock advance tickets. The comedy stars Mircea Popa, Elena Moldovan and Adrian Cucu in the story of Andi, whose lottery windfall upends his life as money starts to cost him what it cannot buy. Its lead is secure, but demand fell 8.7 points in a week.
Teambuilding 2 also softened but remained the nearest challenger. Letiția Roșculeț’s comedy, from the director of Situationship and Part-Time Daddy, has an FDI of 12.9 after selling Unlock tickets in the last 7 days. It fell 6.7 points, leaving the two October holdovers still on top but no longer pulling away from the field.
The biggest move inside the top tier is Vacanță all inclusive, a local comedy from Radu Barbulescu with Pavel Bartoș, Mihai Călin, Alex Velea, Smiley and Diana Cavallioti. It rose from 12th to third, passing Clayface, Forgotten Island, Fjord and others, and has an FDI of 6.2 two days before its November 6 release. Its Unlock advance tickets put it ahead of Clayface, which slipped to fourth as it fell 1.3 points.
Local productions are defining the Romanian race. The top three films are all Romanian comedies, while Dan Dinu’s documentary Wild Delta has an FDI of 1.4 after selling Unlock tickets in the last 7 days. Atlas of the Universe, Paul Negoescu’s drama-fantasy about a boy searching the countryside for a missing left shoe, sits lower with an FDI of 0.5.
Last weekend, from October 30 to November 1, Baiat de milioane sold the most tickets with Unlock, even as it fell 29% from the previous weekend. Teambuilding 2 followed with Unlock after a 28% decline. Monster Mia opened in third with Unlock, Clayface rose 20% to Unlock, and Wildwood opened with Unlock.
The next 21 days bring more pressure, led by Vacanță all inclusive on November 6. Stray Kids World Tour RUN IT LIVE VIEW follows on November 7 with an FDI of 1.1, while Jocurile foamei: Răsăritul în ziua extra opens November 20 with an FDI of 1.1. How Could I Live Without You? 2 has an FDI of 0.7 ahead of November 13, and Rammstein – Live in Mexico City has Unlock advance tickets for November 6.
