The Perfect Holiday keeps Germany lead with FDI of 16.9

Other Mommy jumped from 24th to third after selling Unlock tickets in the last 7 days.

  • Other Mommy rose 4.5 points, the week's biggest gain.
  • Rammstein – Live in Mexico City has Unlock advance tickets.
  • The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has an FDI of 2.7.

The Perfect Holiday remains Germany's clear demand leader as of November 4, holding first place with an FDI of 16.9 even as the field below it starts to move. The SEATmio Film Demand Index (FDI) is a film's share, in percent, of all tickets SEATmio tracks in the country across the last 7 days of screenings and advance tickets for future screenings. Its score fell 6.7 points in a week, but it still sits ahead of Avengers: Doomsday in second place.

The German comedy is also the market's standout local production. Bora Dağtekin, whose earlier work includes Suck Me Shakespeer and Chantal in Fairyland, directs Elyas M'Barek, Karoline Herfurth and Florian David Fitz in a story about friends testing whether their bond can survive the truth. The Perfect Holiday sold Unlock tickets in the last 7 days and has Unlock advance tickets; all ticket counts are rounded SEATmio estimates.

Avengers: Doomsday is the strongest challenger, staying in second place with an FDI of 9.0 before its December 17 release. The Russo brothers' science-fiction adventure rose 3.6 points in a week and has Unlock advance tickets, putting it well ahead of the other unreleased global titles currently chasing the leader. Dune: Part Three, from Denis Villeneuve, climbed from 14th to fourth with an FDI of 4.0 after overtaking Verity, Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom and several other titles.

The fastest move came from Rob Savage's horror film Other Mommy, which climbed from 24th to third after opening on October 29. The Jessica Chastain title rose 4.5 points and sold Unlock tickets in the last 7 days, passing films including Dune: Part Three, The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Its advance base is much smaller, at Unlock tickets, so its current strength is coming from play already underway.

Local titles give Germany more than one story near the top. Rammstein – Live in Mexico City opened on November 4 and climbed from ninth to fifth with an FDI of 3.7, overtaking Verity, Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom and Visitation. Volker Schlöndorff's Visitation, a German drama tracing 70 years of history through a house by a lake, slipped to seventh with an FDI of 3.1 after falling 0.4 points.

Over the October 30-November 1 weekend, The Perfect Holiday sold the most tickets with Unlock, down 28% from the previous weekend. Other Mommy opened in second place with Unlock tickets, while Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom followed with Unlock after falling 37%. Verity placed fourth with Unlock, and Visitation was fifth with Unlock after a 15% weekend decline.

The next 21 days bring several demand markers, led by The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping on November 19. Francis Lawrence's return to Panem has an FDI of 2.7 and Unlock advance tickets, putting it ninth overall before opening. On November 5, Stray Kids World Tour 'RUN IT' LIVE VIEWING has an FDI of 1.5, while Godzilla Minus Zero has an FDI of 0.7 and Unlock advance tickets.
