Haruna Kawaguchi and Mahiro Takasugi star in the story of a terminally ill woman who chooses motherhood in her final days.
The rest of the top five is losing ground as Godzilla expands the gap at the top. You, Like a Star, Michihito Fujii’s romance drama about two high school students on a Seto Inland Sea island, slipped from second to third after falling 2.4 points. Resident Evil held fourth with an FDI of 4.0, overtaking Chiikawa the Movie: The Secret of the Mermaid Island, which dropped from third to fifth after falling 4.3 points.
Japanese productions continue to define the race, holding the first three places and several more positions in the top ten. Chiikawa, a local animated family adventure, still sold Unlock tickets in the last 7 days, while In the Clear Moonlit Dusk placed sixth with an FDI of 2.8. Whisper of the Heart made one of the week’s notable climbs, moving from 16th to eighth after passing titles including Bayside Shakedown N.E.W. and mentor.

It sold Unlock tickets over the weekend, down 27% from the previous weekend, ahead of You, Like a Star with Unlock tickets and Resident Evil with Unlock. Clayface opened on October 30 and is now seventh after rising 1.8 points in the week.
Two local releases arrive on November 6 with modest advance demand so far. 4 Out — Play Ball Again, Masahiro Inagaki’s drama starring Masaki Aiba, has an FDI of 0.1 and Unlock advance tickets. GROTESQQQUE, an animated science-fiction action anthology, also has an FDI of 0.1 and Unlock advance tickets.
