  • Avengers: Doomsday rose 12.3 points in a week.
  • Primetime sold Unlock tickets last weekend.
  • The Lost Children of Tuam has an FDI of 0.6.

Avengers: Doomsday is now the film Ireland most wants to see, climbing from eighteenth to first and pushing past both Clayface and Primetime since last week. The SEATmio Film Demand Index (FDI) measures a film’s share, in percent, of all tickets SEATmio tracks in a country, including the last 7 days of screenings and advance tickets for future shows. Joe Russo and Anthony Russo’s science-fiction adventure has an FDI of 13.8, powered by Unlock advance tickets and a rise of 12.3 points in a week.

The December 16 release, from the directors of Avengers: Endgame and Captain America: Civil War, brings Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal and Paul Rudd into a collision of heroes facing an existential threat. Its closest challenger is Primetime, which climbed from sixteenth to second after opening in release. Lance Oppenheim’s thriller, from the director of SPERMWORLD and The Dogmatic, has an FDI of 13.3 after rising 11.8 points.

Primetime is also the strongest current title by recent ticket sales, with Unlock tickets over the last 7 days and Unlock still in advance. Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever and Skyler Gisondo star in the 2006-set drama about a television sting operation that goes fatally wrong. That momentum has changed the top of the market: Clayface, last week’s leader, has fallen to third with an FDI of 9.7 after losing 6.0 points.

Wicker supplied the other sharp move near the top, climbing from twenty-seventh to fourth with an FDI of 6.7. The romance-fantasy comedy, starring Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård and Peter Dinklage, sold Unlock tickets in the last 7 days and has Unlock in advance. Wildwood, Travis Knight’s animated adventure, slipped from third to fifth with an FDI of 5.9, while Forgotten Island fell from second to sixth as its score dropped 5.6 points.

Ticket figures are rounded SEATmio estimates, and last weekend belonged to Primetime. It opened in first place with Unlock tickets, ahead of Clayface on Unlock after a fall of 36% from the previous weekend. Wicker opened in third with Unlock, while Wildwood and Forgotten Island also eased from the previous frame.

Ireland’s local-production presence is led by The Lost Children of Tuam, Frank Berry’s drama about Catherine Corless and the investigation into records from a former Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, Co. Galway. The film has an FDI of 0.6 and sold Unlock tickets in the last 7 days, though its score fell 0.6 points. The animated family title Arnie & Barney sits further back with an FDI of 0.2.

The next 21 days bring several advance-demand tests. The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, from the director of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, opens November 20 with an FDI of 3.4 and Unlock advance tickets. Ramayana: Rise of a Legend opens November 6 with an FDI of 2.0, ahead of Godzilla Minus Zero at 1.1 and I Play Rocky at 0.6.
